Maple veneer Appleply, maple, steel, and stainless steel

At the Margaret Thatcher Projects gallery in NYC.

In this design, the 1" thick appleply tabletop cantilevers directly off the steel support trestle, without additional hardwood stretchers. Steel brackets secure the tabletop, and an internal wire shelf is visible inside the trestle core.

The Appleply tops are sealed with a clear epoxy finish. The exposed edge of this multiple veneer baltic birch plywood is sealed and waxed. The tabletops are Forest Stewardship Council certified and meet new environmental regulations.
