Black walnut and steel
The tabletop is supported by thin cutoffs of a bridge beam.
Heavy beams are scrapped in lengths of less than ten feet, and
we make use of these remainders. We taper the bottom flanges of the
beams and the sections are sandblasted and coated with black oxide. Our walnut is responsibly
harvested from domestic sources.
This table is in the collection of the Queens Museum of Art.
